My mind is a stirrer
I want a burger
My hunger will be long gone
I’m going to Babylon

Over the course of the summer, a new eatery opened in the centre of Ås. Most students are already well acquainted with Babylon Pizza, where you can get the city’s most delicious kebab, but now you can expand your culinary horizons with a “smashburger” from Babylon Burger. Do they only sell burgers? Is it affordable? Did Samfunnet i Ås sponsor our food? Tuntreet takes a trip to test it out! (we had to pay for the food ourselves 😢)
We tested four burger plates, meaning burger + fries. The price per meal varies from 189kr – 229kr, based on how fancy you want to be. A pint of soda costs 35kr. That’s not a bad price for a dinner, if you ask us.

Philip’s Burger

“Good taste between sweet and salty. Fits for you who can’t decide between a burger or a kebab.”

All in all, the trip to Babylon Burger was very pleasant. It’s a simple place, neither too fancy nor too simple – an eatery that’s suitable for everyday occasions. Students can also eat here together, without selling their soul to Klarna. Still, it’s a bit disappointing to know that they aren’t very accommodating when it comes to gluten-free alternatives. And yes, they actually serve more than just burgers. There are different types of fries, milkshakes, and a dip they call “Boom Boom”; surely that’s enough to pay them a visit? At the end of the day, the food tasted good, and the atmosphere was good. Tuntreet can heartily recommend testing out Babylon Burger!
